OPEN IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

May County Director of Emergency Management
Frank McCall announced that a FEMA/State
Disaster Recovery Center is open in Cape May
County, until further notice, to provide
face-to-face assistance to those who suffered
damage from Hurricane Irene.
McCall said, “Cape May
County wants to ensure that every resident who
suffered damage from Hurricane Irene and is
eligible for assistance talks with a FEMA
representative.”
The center, located in the
lower level of the Cape May County Main Library,
30 West Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House,
New Jersey, will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
seven days a week.
At the center, visitors
can:
- Receive information
about different types of state and federal
disaster assistance.
- Get help completing
applications for U.S. Small Business
Administration low-interest disaster loans
for homeowners, renters, businesses of all
sizes and private nonprofit organizations.
- Inquire about the
status of applications for federal
assistance.
- Receive referrals to
voluntary organizations to help with
immediate unmet needs.
- Learn cost-effective
measures to reduce the impact of future
disaster losses.

register with FEMA before visiting the Disaster
